How do I properly reboot my modem or digital box?

To reboot a digital settop (non DVR):Step 1: Shut your TV off. Step 2: Hold the power button in on your digital box until the word BOOT comes up on the display or until the display goes blank. Only takes a few moments. Step 3: When the correct time comes back up on the display, turn your TV and digital box back on. You are going to have a "Passport" screen showing; it also will take a couple of moments for it to download information. When it’s finished you will have you picture and sound back. Recheck to see if you are still experiencing the same problem.
